This course dives right into the dangers firefighters face each day and what the responsibilities of a dispatcher are during dangerous incidents. Dispatchers play a vital role in fire operations, especially with relaying important information and ensuring the Incident Commander is informed of what is happening. This course covers information on what to listen for during fire operations, when to act, and what information needs to be shared among many other topics.

- Mayday calls
- SCBA equipment and PASS alarms
- Rapid intervention teams
- Personnel accountability reports
- Urgent calls
- Firefighter injuries
- Firefighter safety
- Clear speech versus codes
- Primary radio channels/fire ground radio channels
